20 Greatest Modest Mouse Songs

Modest Mouse has long been one of my favorite bands ever since I first gave The Moon and Antarctica (2000) a listen. It took me multiple listens to fully grasp the brilliance of that album, but it is a very special achievement. I subsequently discovered This is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Talk About (1996) and The Lonesome Crowded West, their 1997 masterpiece. Even their most recent work, Good News for People Who Love Bad News (2004), and We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank (2007) are quality albums, albeit an adjustment to mainstream.

Here are my 20 favorite Modest Mouse Songs:

20. Exit Does Not Exist - This is a Long Drive...

19. People as Places as People - We Were Dead...

18. Trucker's Atlas - The Lonesome Crowded West
