World Premieres Announced for 68th Venice Film Festival


The 68th Venice Film Festival runs from August 31 - September 10. American film director Darren Aronofsky has been announced Head of the Jury. Just announced, here are the films with World Premieres scheduled at the Festival:

  2. Such a great line-up. I have been to Venice (actually come to think of it, it would have been early September 2009 :-p) but I wasn't out on the streets at night. That film is terrifying!

  6. Haha. That's cool. There are a lot of films playing at both. Most of them are premiering at Venice before hitting Toronto! Schedules came out on the same day, with Venice to be releasing theirs a little more staggered...

  10. All those you mention I cannot wait for. Ides of March trailer was released today. I resisted the urge to watch it, but if you like Gosling, Fassbender and Carey Mulligan, they are appearing in several hotly-anticipated releases. The Ides of March, Drive, Shame and A Dangerous Method. Throw in a new Polanski film, a new Soderbergh film, and this makes a hell of a line-up!
